Better then the real thing!,
I found the cycleops simple to put together and an excellent way of getting fit.
The hardest part for me was changing the wheel axel from a solid to a hollow one.
THis was not highlighted in the guides.

|Trrainer working well after initial problems.,
First cycleops fluid 2 trainer purchased and returned immediately , due to a faulty L bolt / resistance unit adjustment lever connection. Amazon delivered a replacement trainer pronptly. Second trainer had the same problem, at which point we contacted Cyclops at US email address. Email was answered after 3 days and a replacement part (cam lever upgrade kit) sent overnight. Trainer has now been used for one week and is working well.

|Sturdy and easy-to-use – bit noisy,
I am very impressed with the design and ease of use. I was initially worried about how it would work with my rear wheel, which has an internal gear hub and no quick release system, but it slotted in perfectly.
Gives you a very good workout – just one hour and your legs feel like you’ve been cycling for a lot further. Resistance increases with gear changes and I generally use somewhere near top gear, working up to that in the first five minutes, then moving to top gear for about a minute close to the end of the session, before winding back down.
Only problem for me is it is still quite noisy. Which, as I don’t have a garage or outhouse, makes me a bit unpopular with the family. So I can only use it indoors when they are all out, which somewhat defeats the object of avoiding bad weather!
